Good behaviour on social media

Good behaviour on social media

The tone on social media can be harsh and for some feel unreasonable. Some say you have to go for the ball - implied if you are not too personal, everything you say on social media is acceptable. Others lack the social filter we have in other contexts.

The argument for accepting everyone, no matter how they participate in the dialogue, is that open and easy access strengthens the dialogue. Some say that easy access gives many more opportunities to participate, and that we thereby strengthen the debate. I mean, that's wrong.

We do not get more equal because some force their opinion through in a debate - it can most certainly discourage some from participating. The harsh tone can stop the dialogue.
The social filter that I learned as a teenager made me able to participate in a debate, where others also have room to express themselves, and where there is room for everyone, even the quiet person must feel joy in attending.

Say something positive

You do not have to speak out just because you have the opportunity - and in fact, it is a bit rude to speak out if you only comment to highlight yourself og talk negative.

If your company presents a new product, you do not want the comments to say the product is bad (which is a subjective assessment) - it does not add value for others, and therefore it is only to either let out steam or try to hurt your business when someone say something negative.

You also do not go to a person you meet on the street to tell him that his hair is ugly or wrong. So why focus on that on sociale media?

If I read a post that is difficult to understand due to many spelling mistakes, inverted or confusing wording, I occasionally write directly to the person, with suggestions for improvements. I will not comment on it in public because it can only harm the person's business or hurt the writer. Most people know that their wording could be better when that is the case (including me), but they still want to share their good experiences or show good news - this is not where you need to demonstrate that you are a copywriter and emphasize that you know how to write that sentence.

Den hårde tone skubber andre væk

It is ok to keep your mouth shut

If you can only say something ugly or derogatory, I think you are rude and unmotivating. In that situation, I do not want to listen to you - if you did not write something, there might be others who would like to comment on the post, but the negative comment, in many cases stops a dialogue or result in some keep from making any comments at all. You are very welcome to jump over a post and go to the next - the rest of us do not actually care about your negative comments, no matter how well-meaning you think you are.

Respect for others

When we write online, we know now that some people lack the social filter. The keyboard gives these people freedom, so they think it's okay to be rude. We should all go against that behaviour and speak out our disagreement. We must all be able to take part in the debate and participate without the risk of being assaulted or talked down to by others.

When you write, you can try to think about whether you want to formulate yourself in the same way if you are facing the person.

Partnership in education

Space-related education - a logo that gathers

The office working with space under the Ministry of Education and Research is working to promote Denmark's potential in space research and to improve the chance for Danish researchers to participate in space research assignments within the EU, ESA and across the various institutions in Denmark.

In connection with a new effort in this area, where the wishe to gather the forces around a more common Danish appearance, a more formalized collaboration has been concluded across the various research units we have in Denmark.

We call it Partnership in Space-related Education. The purpose is to help the individual unit to access new projects, become part of larger projects or develop their own research through cross-collaboration.

In this context, we developed a logo that each participant can use to show that they are part of something bigger and nationwide. It will be incredibly exciting to follow the area in the coming years.

The task has been solved for the Ministry of Education and Research.

Logo for a webshop

Logo for Centrum Beslag

In connection with the acquisition of an older business, the new owner wanted to mark the acquisition and create a more modern image about his new business.
Centrum Beslag has been around for 17 years and has been located in Jutland. In 2019, it was sold to the current owner, who legally took over the business from January 1, 2020 and in that connection moved the company to its new location close to Copenhagen.

Upgrading of the business image was high on the wish list of the new owner - naturally we started with the development of a new logo and based on this we worked out a general style for the new web shop.

The company has a large selection of accessories for doors and windows, including a number of discontinued items.

Based on this and with a need for a logo that could easily be used online on especially Facebook and LinkedIn, we created a stylish clean logo in clear colours.
The center is marked with a cross, as showed on an old chart where the
treasure is buried. In our logo, the cross indicates that with the selection offered, there are many treasures to be found at Centrum Beslag.

Here is the logo and how it is used for business cards.

We have developed a website that is both easy to navigate and divided so that you can easily find what you are looking for. New logo and stile

Logo design for BizWiseIT

New logo for English client - BizWiseIT wanted a new logo that should show that they offer solutions within all IT tasks.

The company is located in Crawley in southern England, and customers come from London down to Bristol, and their focus is on IT equipment and network support. In addition, several other solutions are offered, which are delivered in cooperation with their partners.

It is about connections - whether it is between people and companies, or whether it is between networks and equipment - and that is precisely why the logo got its design. Connections create results and the imaginary circle indicates a full coverage mix.

The task also included a new brochure and website - see the website at www.bizwiseit.co.uk.

Logo that matches advice

The logo Nadia Holmgren
The logo FamilieFlow

The assignment was really simple: Create a logo that communicates my competencies within consulting, courses and lectures, and who will tie the company together. A company that caters to business and organizational customers and families alike.

We look at the new area which aims to approach companies and organizations with courses and lectures on pedagogy and work with children, as well as how to strengthen their family.

The company is Nadia Holmgren. Nadia is known for several book releases, her lectures and the many families she has helped over many years. Nadia runs FamilyFlow, but wants to separate her activities from the families she helps and the companies and organizations she addresses.

The logo is part of the brand she is building under her own name and also consists of a website and must also be used on social media and in her presentations.

The logo is based on a branch with leaves, because Nadia works with children's welfare and the families balance in everyday life. We chose the branch with the many leaves as an expression of growth, diversity and strength towards the people with whom Nadia works.

The same branch and leaves form the basis of two logos - one for the professional market and the other for her work with the families.

Logo for Biltilbehør.com

Biltilbehør.com is a popular webshop for accessories for cars, trucks, tractors and buses that focus on both a strong price, large selection and you have the opportunity to get personalized service and help with your purchases.

In connection with the development of a new webshop we also proposed a new logo. The logo is the company name with a truck and a car as the graphic element - in addition, the line in the danish letter 'Ø' has been changed to a road. The truck and the car are used because the shop have accessories for all vehicles. Accessories for trucks have traditionally been the most popular product group.
