Data from members and the EU gathered in an elegant solution
When working within EU legislation, there is a lot of information to keep track of.
COCERAL represents the European trade in cereals and oilseeds, animal feed, rice, olive oil, oils and fats and agricultural supplies towards the EU and other international institutions and stakeholders.
They have specific expertise in technical requirements for trade, dossiers on genetically modified organisms (GMOs), the General Traceability Regulation, hygiene packages, official controls on food and feed, pesticide residues and contaminants and unwanted substances.
It almost goes without saying that this is an incredibly complex job.
The EU has more than 500,000 products covered by its regulatory framework.
COCERAL only needs to know some of these, which are relevant to their industry and the products their members produce or buy.
Together, we have developed a solution that ensures that we always have the latest data available.
The customer adds data from their members and collects these in a database that provides both an overview, insight and can be used as documentation. The solution then automatically retrieves the latest limit values in the EU and compares them with their information.
An exciting but also challenging solution, where the result is one I am proud of.
Unfortunately, I cannot show a whole lot from the database, because the data is confidential and can be sensitive for the individual member. If you are interested, I can tell you about the solution and what functions we have created to create a solution that strengthens COCERAL in their work around food safety.
